Who dressed best: June edit

So who wore what in the glorious fashions of June?

Here’s a round up of summer inspiration for you, with plenty of focus on the art of summer layering… Because the weather just doesn’t quite have our back.

Sophia Rosmary

This is just festival attire personified for me. The Barbour wax jacket, the boho summer dress and a pair of wellies. Practical and looks good, there’s a reason it’s more or less a uniform on the muddied fields these days.

I’m obsessing over wide legged stripey trousers: loose and cooling and kind of feels like you’re wearing pyjamas. Plus… I mean, stripes. Say no more. A slogan/logo t-shirt adds an edge carried further with a staple leather jacket. Leather sandals and sunnies keep it summer ready.

Could this be much easier? A simple white shirt (everyone should have one), a frayed denim mini and then then a bandana in the hair and sunnies on hand to accessorise.

Lady Alice Manners

As if popping home at the weekend meaning going back to your castle wasn’t envy inducing enough, the Manners siblings are also impeccably dressed. Proving you can be demure, summery, cool and still wear something flattering without having to step out in something that uses about as much material as a bikini, Alice shows us how we should be doing it at the polo this summer.

OK, so let’s get casual and comfy again now… Ripped and tatty jeans with breathing space (skinny jeans and sun= deadly discomfort) with a slogan tee and if that’s too prescribed for you then make like Megan and add some quirky metallic mid heels to contrast the look.

Victoria @ In the Frow

This sums up my spring/summer 2017, a feminine and floaty dress with sneakers/ trainers/ pumps/ whatever you choose to call them. They can tone down anything too girly, make a smart dress casual and the comfort levels alone are worth it.

This shirt looks so comfortable and the knotted bottom makes it more interesting. This shirt has a denim look to it, but as long as it’s subtle you can keep the riskiness of double denim disasters at bay.

Now this is how you do airport dressing. I’ve been admiring flared jeans for a while, but no one wants to look like a hippie fancy dress victim. Simple trainers (everywhere this summer!) with a striped t-shirt and coloured leathered jacket to layer, this is the way to wear them.
