Who dressed best: July edit

Has it really just been July? You’d be forgiven for feeling suspended in a feeling of confusion. First of all the year seems to be going so quickly, so it’s hard to believe we are now in August. But you’d also be surprised because the weather has been so disappointingly un-summary.

Regardless of either of those confusions, August it is and so here is the edit of who wore what and who looked great during July.

Lucy Hale

There’s something so satisfying about being totally coordinated, and if you’re anything like me it probably won’t happen much!

This is definitely a transitional look that should be to take us from summer to autumm, however it’s been so chilly recently I wouldn’t be surprised if jumpers made it out of hiding for many of us!

Another look suitable for uncertain weather, or to take you from summer to autumn. I love the coloured wide leg jeans around at the moment, and a shirt like this one smartens them up so it could be a day look or an evening one, ideal for holidays where the two often merge together.

This look is simple yet so, so smart. The fitted skirt is flattering but still classy due to the length and the almost oversized shirt adds a cool, androgenous feel which makes sure the outfit isn’t too ‘office’. The messy hair look adds a casual touch.

Something a bit more casual for you now. A pale coloured patterned skirt is feminine and summary but the soft knitted baggy jumper keeps it youthful, the hat adds a trend element and yet also is incredibly practical.

Wide leg jeans are a blessing of a trend. They can be smart or casual, but always oh so comfortable. The blue stripe shirt here feels very satorial, and the plain flats keep it timeless. For those of shorter limbs, like me, heels are probably more flattering!

Please note: it is sometimes hard to find exact items, or items that are really similar so there may be some differences, but also an ethos of this blog is to be affordable and available for everyone which can also lead to differences. Happy shopping!
